Central Scanning Pre-Sales Manager Alex Chung was recently featured on BBC Morning Live to discuss how 3D Scanning technology can be used in prosthetics.
Alex sat beside presenter Mollie Pearce from The Traitors and Paralympian Jerry Dillon to demonstrate how Artec 3D scanners can be used. In just two minutes, there is a fully mapped 3D layout from Jerry’s scan. With full colour representation in the 3D scan, the speed and accuracy allow for the best possible prosthetic fit.
Once the prosthetic has been designed from the 3D scan, within hours a prototype can be 3D printed ready to be checked by the prosthetist before committing to more material.
